20 years ago – 1992

The financially strapped Association for Retarded Citizens of Okaloosa County was scheduled to go out of business March 31 and be replaced by the non-profit corporation Horizons of Okaloosa County Inc. as the state’s contracted supplier of services to mentally handicapped people in the area.

10 years ago – 2002

Sandestin Real Estate Inc. posted more than $190 million in real estate sales at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort in 2001.
