20 years ago – 1992

The 58th Fighter Squadron’s performance in the Persian Gulf Warhelped earned it the 1991 Hughes Achievement Award as the Air Force’s outstanding air-to-air squadron for the second year in a row.

10 years ago – 2002

Air Force leaders were touting the effectiveness of guided precision unmanned weapons in the war on terrorism during the fourth annual Air Armament Summit.

Florida could expect steady growth over the next three decades and would replace New York as the third-largest state, according to projections released by the University of Florida.
