20 years ago – 1992

Lawmen arrested a dozen Walton County residents on a total of 18 felony charges as part of an undercover drug operation.

Susan Duhon of Pryor Middle School was selected as Okaloosa County’s Teacher of the Year.

10 years ago – 2002

A Santa Rosa County commissioner said that quick fixes to relieve traffic problems on U.S. Highway 98 needed to be put on the fast track during a commissioners workshop after receiving complaints from area builders that their projects had been put on hold.
